Jack Lim, Principal Partner

Jack Lim brings over 30 years of expertise in IT, telecommunications, and large-scale project management, spanning roles across multinational corporations, government agencies, and educational institutions. His career began in 1989 as a Data Communications Sales Engineer at Radac Sdn. Bhd., a Singapore-based company, where he specialized in the sale and integration of advanced network infrastructure solutions for banks, insurance companies, and government agencies. During this time, Jack honed his technical skills in designing wide-area networks (WAN) and converting systems into IBM’s SNA environment.

In 1991, Jack co-founded Commulink Technology Sdn. Bhd., which later merged with the Brunsfield Group, becoming Brunsfield Communications Sdn. Bhd. As Head of the company, he was responsible for the division’s P&L, overseeing an expansion into network integration consulting. Under his leadership, the company tripled its annual revenue within 3 years, serving major clients like Telekom Malaysia, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, and Malaysia National Insurance. Notably, his team served as the IT Consultant for Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), managing the design, tendering, and project coordination of the university’s campus IT network during its construction in 1994.

In 2003, Jack joined CMC Engineering Sdn. Bhd. as a Project Management Consultant, managing high-value contracts with Telekom Malaysia and Lucent IPSS switches. His responsibilities included strategic planning, contractor coordination, timeline management, and deliverables scheduling for complex projects such as VSAT networks and Broadband DLC infrastructure. Promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2004, Jack played a key role in the company’s preparation for listing on MESDAQ, handling critical operational and financial responsibilities and managing the sales team.

Jack later established Global Network Associates Sdn. Bhd. (GNA), securing key contracts, including the implementation of a Radius solution for Telekom Malaysia’s IPVPN network and leading pioneering efforts in the digitization of broadcasting for Radio Television Malaysia (RTM). His work included deploying advanced network components and establishing new channels, such as Al-Hijrah TV, as part of a national industry digitization initiative.

Most recently, Jack served as Project Manager for the Prasarana Light Rail Transit Project with CMC Engineering, overseeing the deployment of the Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) system by Thales Canada. His role encompassed managing power and communications cable installations and ensuring wireless communications device integration across stations, successfully completing the project by 2016.

Jack’s robust proficiency in managing large-scale, complex projects have earned him a respected reputation across telecommunications, government, and educational sectors. His ability to build strong networks and drive projects to completion underlines his value as an industry leader dedicated to advancing technology solutions.
